The project for Piazza Santa Croce transforms it into the focal point of Coredo’s city life, projecting the main activities and the most representative buildings that, currently, although positioned at the edges of the urban void, remain disconnected from it. The square is reinterpreted as a series of natural and urban terraces, facing and connected to each other, which synergistically resolve the elevation difference between Via Venezia and Via Roma. The intervention is dotted with references to the architectural styles of the area: the use of wood, portal structures, pitched roofs, shingles, and geometric decorations inspired by the graphics and colors of the façade of Casa Marta and the roof of the Bolzano Cathedral.
