The redevelopment project for Largo di Via dei Transiti in Milan stems from the desire to eliminate the area’s degradation and initiate an urban renewal process, increasing its usability and the perception of safety by neighborhood residents and making it attractive to all users. The strategies employed aim for lightness, quick execution, and cost-effectiveness, starting with the recovery of historical elements and characteristics. The intervention is distinguished by the use of color, which gives the square a strong architectural identity, the creation of an interconnected and safe system of cycling and pedestrian spaces, and a unified design.
