Renovation of a Two-Room Apartment in Milan. The apartment, designed to accommodate a couple, fits into our studio’s research on metropolitan living. Living in a metropolis means dealing with small spaces where it is essential to include all necessary elements and where maximizing light and airiness improves the livability of micro units. The load-bearing wall structure did not allow for combining the spaces, so the home was envisioned as a fluid path between independent areas that can be used simultaneously. The light coming from the south bounces off the white walls, perceptually enlarging the space.
